Just started gymming yesterday and was so good to finally purge all the fatty food that US have to offer....gym instructor was like if u wanna eat healthy there's really nothing in the area have cook yourself....Lucky have Whole Foods (Healthy Supermarket) which I bought a turkey salad for $3...not too bad and fills me up with good stuff....:P
Took a night drive out at 4am cause I can't sleep, prob cause I'm too excited about driving on the road since it's been how long since I last drove...experience was not too bad....just that don't dare to go too fast....kinda have to knock myself in the head to remember what the instructor taught me about driving 8 years ago...look left look right, see blind spot...signal!!!

Signed up for a gym last evening with Norwegian colleague. We chose 24H Fitness over Gold's Gym (the california equivalent), as it was nearer to our place and there are gyms in Houston which he can use when he moves over there. costs $29.99 per mth...still alright pricing but not the best facility of coz....seems kinda well used like planet used to be....and the swimming pool stinks with cholrine....don't think am going to soak myself in the pool of chemical..
Work has been pretty neat but draining, since boss decided to let me do whatever I want, hence been going around speaking to the engineers who has been there for lots of experience....i feel like an intern all over again...haha cause learning something from a totally new field. Draining cause all their projects are interesting and solving potential problems and finally coming up with products that could actually sell....so slowly absorbing each is a big task...

Met Keegan for lunch yesterday too...he's such a Dragonlance Freak lol...but we had fun discussing how the stupid new animation was sucky and totally went out of focus of the storybook or how the authors originally intended. Splurged on the new Dragonlance book, Dragons of the Dwarven Depths after he told me about it...reading it now...so exciting..he was complaining about some of the characters too..that how the personalities has changed compared previously. But overall it's fantastic..
Attended 妹's business forum today, got to meet some interesting speakers. Like the founding guy for NYDC, Samuel Chia. Quite an interesting character with a cold meticulous sense of entrepreneurship...out to kill or be killed.
I prefer Nicolas Chan of Azione Capital. From his character can tell he's the kind that do more than he talks and he really talks alot. Learnt a good deal from him. Quite respect him for a guy who started working at 12 earning $20/mth and started his own business at 16 and earning $500,000 in 2 years from that first business. Now he is a Venture Capitalist investing in new companies that earn him more money. He still leads a frugal lifestyle spending about $400 a mth. Always claim that he ain't educated but just doing it and show others that he could make it. I love some of the things he said and 1 I particularly liked was:

Watched Ah Long with Keith the other day, it was really made so poorly we watched till we wanted to cry. The movie could have been better if they have done away with all the stupid comic effects and exaggerating acting. The Old Garden is a slow korean movie but the story could be more romantic. The lack of tear-jerking scenes did no justice to the good plot and storyline. There are certain parts which are really good like when she was painting herself in a potrait of her guy whom she has not met for 16 years. How many of 傻瓜 are there in this world that can and will wait for so long.

Gerald had an interview at Garden Slug while I had mine at Kallang...so we decided to head there and have lunch near Kallang. Met Weili there who's having his lunch there. Apparently there are alot of dboaters and canoe rowers who would head there for a hearty lunch after training.
Got the President Rojak and yummy western food. Had to wait for queue number just to get the rojak...hmmm...business idea..
Headed to Siglap for homemade icecream...sinfully delicious..
